Evacuation is an indispensable and important step before filling refrigerants in the production or maintenance of refrigeration equipment. That is, the vacuum pump is connected to the piping of the refrigeration system to eliminate the non-condensable gas and water in the system piping.
Hazard without evacuation: Plugging the pipe: If the moisture content of the system exceeds a certain limit, an ice block will be formed at the outlet of the capillary so that the refrigerant cannot circulate normally. Corrosion: The moisture reacts with the refrigerant and the produced hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid can damage the insulation of the compressor. Copper plating rust: The oxygen in the residual air reacts with hydrochloric acid and copper to produce copper plating and corrode copper and iron components in the system piping, shortening the service life of system components. Decomposition of refrigerants: The oxides produced by corrosion accelerate the decomposition of the refrigerant. Lubricants deteriorate aging: Oxygen in the residual air and the frozen lubricating oil produce oxidation, so that the lubricating oil is decomposed, deteriorated and aged.
Vacuum method and process:
1. Before the operation, check the vacuum pump's horizontal position, the seal gasket is not damaged, and the vacuum gauge is zero.
2. Place the vacuum pump on the indoor floor (safe, stable, and easy to operate).
3. Combine fluoridation tube, vacuum meter and vacuum pump together.
4. Unscrew the screw cap from the valve at the fluoridation port, screw the fluoridation tube onto the fluoridation port, and confirm whether the ejector pin is in the top position.
5, first open the vacuum gauge, then turn on the vacuum pump power switch, start vacuuming. The normal system vacuum should be able to reach below -756mmHg. Evacuation time should be determined based on the size of the refrigeration system and the size of the vacuum pump.
6. After the evacuation operation is completed, quickly remove the fluoridation tube and vacuum gauge, and then fully open the valve again.
After opening the valve of the refrigeration system, pay attention to whether the vacuum gauge pressure rises. If there is a rise, it indicates that the cooling system has a leakage point. If there is a leakage point, find out the cause and solve the problem and repeat the above vacuuming process.
